Bocote, how did you know which supplements to take, and how much? I’m not getting much help from doctors with all this. I know my Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 are on the low end. I think supplementing with those vitamins might have made my mucus worse, but I’m going to try again. It’s so hard to pinpoint what causes my symptoms.

Bocote, were your officially diagnosed with LPR? And if so, how was the diagnosis made—what tests were done? Thank you!

Bocote, you are so lucky to have found the cause of your LPR. I am having the hardest time trying to figure out what is causing my symptoms. How do you single out a specific food when eating a variety of foods at one meal/snack? Also, I don’t know how long after eating a food that the symptoms show up. Do the symptoms have to show up immediately after eating, or could it be many hours to a day? I just wish I could pinpoint something as you did with dairy. Also, if I take a food out of my diet, how long do I need to take it out to see if it’s been causing symptoms—a day, a week, a month?

Thanks in advance for any advice you could give me. I’d appreciate it!

Sivert, that is a problem for me too. I cannot tell what foods are my triggers because I almost always have at least a mild symptom happening.

Jaeme, it is so good to read of your success! I have been following the Dropping Acid diet for about two months, I’m better, but not completely symptom free. Main symptoms now are when I swallow it feels kind of like a swollen feeling. If I don’t have that symptom, then I have mucus in throat. I ordered Norm’s book and am eager to read it and try the diet. I am hoping it will work for symptoms as mine. Not sure how long to give either diet, and wonder if where my symptoms are now is as good as I can get. I haven’t been officially diagnosed with LPR. The ENT’s just tell me to try PPI’s to see if they help. I don’t want to do that! Reading that you eat spices, tomatoes and chocolate sounds wonderful to me! Do you ever have any bread at all? If so, what kind? Anyway, it is great reading this forum and hearing the positiveness. Thank you to everyone for posting. It is helpful!
