So, does boiled tapioca referee to in the flour section the same as tapioca flour? Thanks for your response! Yea, I’ll prob just have to stay away from most breads and starches for awhile while I’m new at this since they seem the most iffy 🙂

What about chocolate? Does unsweetened coco have an FP? I tried to find the GI for just coco powder and could not find it, but only the GI for a sweetened chocolate bar. Just wondering if we know the FP for coco. Thanks!

Norm, I’ve read the study done that proved that constipation is supposed to actually be improved by a low- fiber diet. However, I’m just wondering why I’ve have gotten more constipation since starting the fast tract diet. To me it kinda makes sense because of the added dairy. I’m just trying to understand it all because when I used to take oatbran in my oatmeal every day I seemed to be fine. Now I’m having hard stools, straining and going less. What solution have you found for constipation? Being on the diet yourself and being its founder, what have you found that works? Eating more greens? Tons of water? Just wondering because I’ve relied on whole grains, fruit and veggies for the longest time and used to be fine in the constipation realm (minus the bloating of course!) Thanks so much for your insight!

Hi, just wondering about the FP for Tapioca Starch. In the book in the FP tables I see “Tapioca, boiled” listed in the flour section. Would that be the same as Tapioca starch?

Also, I’m a little confused about bread made from any medium since it would be a starch or grain that is cooked and then cooled. Doesn’t cooking and then cooling a starch or a grain cause it to build up to 3 x the resistant starch?? In this case, wouldn’t only fresh, hot bread be safe and bread that has cooled down would no longer be good? I’m mostly through the book so I’m still new at this 🙂

Last, does coco or unsweetened chocolate have an FP value? I didn’t see one listed for just strait coco with no sugar added. Thanks so much!

Hi, I’m just trying to figure out which book I should buy. I am new to Fast Tract and I want to get either Fast Tract Digestion Heartburn or IBS, just not sure which it if I should get both. I have severe Gerd with non-acid reflux that often wakes me up choking. I also deal with bloating (sometimes quite sever) dependin upon what I eat, and constipation. I also often feel a tightness in my abdomine below my ribs that makes it hard to sing or diaphragm breathe. What will help me better, the heartburn FTD book or the IBS, since I may have both? I also have questions on some of the other diets like SCD. I saw that this is covered in the IBS book, but is it covered in the FTD Heartburn book as well? Thanks so much!

Awesome! Thanks for your advice! I prob will get the actual book then. Norm, if I buy the book on amazon will it be the updated book? I’m getting the Fast Track Diet Heartburn book. Thanks! I’m hoping to get it from Amazon since we get free shipping with Prime and it comes in 2 days. I’ll order it today then, just let me know if the Amazon books are updated (if you know) and I can’t wait to get started!

Irina, could you post your brownie recipe as well? I’m so excited to know that I’ll be able to have some sweets again eventually cuz the other diets I was looking at pretty much cut that out. Thanks for sharing!

Ronnie, I’m currently on 40mg of Pantoprazole as well and I believe it has recently stopped working because I am getting burning in my throat again and coughing on stuff coming up alot. I’ve been on PPI since Jan of this year. How did you lower your Pantoprazole at first? Do you take it morning and night? I’m really nervous because yesterday I got brave since I’ve been cutting out grains & sugar (only about 2 or 3 days so far) and I decided to skip my morning pill. Boy that was a bad idea! I thought I was doing ok, but I ended up with heartburn in the evening and had to take my pill at night because it got bad and then I was up all night with reflux that kept making me choke! Ugh! The whole weaning process seems scary. Just how did you go about it? Thanks so much for sharing!

Do you happen to know how safe dextrose or glucose syrup is? Using either of these do we run the risk of high blood sugar? Of course everything in moderation, but just trying to decide what might be safer. Splenda worries me, but so do they all. I’ve currently been using mostly Honey if I sweeten anything and I’ve always used sugar in the raw to bake with so this will be quite a step! I’m so used to going raw and natural whenever possible, so I just want to make sure I get the closest thing to natural as I can. Do you think that erythritol would be the thing to go with then or non-gmo dextrose powder? Thanks!

Does the Paperback book contain the same charts as the kindle book? I’m debating whether to get the kindle or the paperback and I would also rather have the charts on paper rather than on my small phone. Also, I read something about new grain charts being included in the kindle version. Are the grain charts in the paperback or just the kindle version? Thanks! Looking forward to buying the book as soon as I hear back!
