I just finished reading the IBS book today. I am going through my diet and evaluating which foods are problematic. I eat a lot of a product called Bob’s Red Mill, Gluten Free Golden Masa Harina.
I have entered the details into the FP calculator. I cannot find a concrete source for the GI value. The closest thing I can find is from Nutrition Data which states a GI value of 61 for Corn flour, masa, enriched, yellow.
Theoretically since it’s processed with the lime soaking, it should be pretty easy to digest. What are your thoughts as to the FP of this product? Would it be better for me to stop eating this food altogether and switch to something else? Thank you for your time and help, I appreciate it.
