This is an interesting article about a rare condition where food ferments in the gut, producing alcohol, and making the person drunk without drinking alcohol!

I can totally relate to this article. I am sure the SIBO/yeast that causes my GERD also releases toxins that affect my brain. I can’t function after certain foods. My family unfortunately knows this all to well and I have a reputation of being short tempered or a very irritable. People outside my family don’t see this because when I feel bad I just go home and it is not a normal state for me, but it does happen quite often.

Thanks for posting this article. I really believe that some smart doctor or person will sort these gut issues out some day. It seems like the level of understanding has increased a lot in the past few years.
