Fast Tract Diet for SIBO › Forum › Heartburn and GERD › Apple cider vinegar vs. Tums
Both will relieve occasional reflux symptoms for me during the day, but do you have a preference for which will product the most benefit physiologically regarding long-term gut health?
I don’t know much about Tums, but if you used raw apple cider vinegar, you’d be getting probiotics. That would be beneficial to gut health.
ACV, per my holistic doctor, contains yeasts that may not be beneficial for daily use. Also, it is anti-bacterial and does not descriminate between good and bad bacteria in the GI and stomach. Her advice would be to avoid if possible.
