Most bacon has sugar. (also ham, etc) Is this a problem because it’s added, or okay because it’s only a tiny bit? Usually it’s some variation of table sugar.JIParticipantMay 10, 2014 at 4:38 pmPost count: 180
Look at the nutrition label. Most of the time it is so little sugar that the content is listed as 0%. When I was on the Whole30, I could not have any sugar at all. A few places online would ship sugar-free bacon, but it was very expensive. I decided to go without for the 30 days. I don’t think you need to worry if there is very little sugar in the bacon. I’m more concerned about nitrates, so always buy the uncured bacon.KellyParticipantMay 10, 2014 at 4:51 pmPost count: 77
Thanks. Yes, it is only a tiny bit. Other diets I’ve tried warn against even that, so I wondered if it mattered for FTD.
It seems like I’m very sensitive to sugar, but I’m reinterpreting some of my observations based on this new information, so hopefully this won’t affect me, just for one day.
