What dose of HCl are you taking? I’m thinking pure betaine HCl would be better than HCl w/ pepsin, considering the major role of pepsin in causing LPR symptoms. The fast tract diet helps my LPR symptoms to a large degree but there is still room for improvement and I’ve seen some positive early results with HCl supplements myself.

I can also confirm there is some validity to the “Dropping Acid” approach to LPR. The high-carb, low-fat diet is misguided, but the attention paid to pH of food and drink is not. I can reproducibly aggravate symptoms with consumption of vinegar, wine, and anything else acidic. It seems some pepsin is always sitting there in the throat just waiting to be activated by a low pH.
