Hi Sophie, Thanks for posting. SIBO and carbohydrate malbsorption is not uncommon in systemic sclerosis. If this were the case, the Fast Tract Diet would be a supportive approach that can support your effort to reduce PPIs. If you have SIBO, the last thing you want to do if overfeed the bacteria in your gut bringing on more reflux symptoms. There is also the idea that minimizing SIBO may reduce leaky gut and exacerbation of autoimmune reactions. It’s worth a try.
